Hey everyone, I've been facing some problems with my desktop PC lately. The detailed list shows what's going on. My CPU (Ryzen 5 2600X) isn't getting enough cooling from the Arctic eSport 34 cooler, even though it should handle this workload. It's idling around 50°C now, while it was about 40°C when fans were off and quiet. I've also noticed Bluetooth issues lately. I'm using the built-in network card, and all my devices are within a meter of the external antenna. My headphones keep dropping in and out, and my controller works most of the time but sometimes stops altogether. It seems like I'm constantly moving the joystick without any input until I power it off and on again. The biggest problem is with my graphics card (RTX 3070 from Gigabyte). The fans spin up quickly after a few minutes of gaming—only during intense sessions in software like Premiere or After Effects—and then the PC crashes. It happens even when playing light games, with the refresh rate stuck at 60Hz. I tried lowering the power settings to 75% in GeForce Experience and adjusting the temperature target to 90°C, but nothing changed. I didn’t clean the GPU, and there was no dust coming out of the fans or heat pipes. The card is white and looks clean. Sometimes the screen flickers as if something’s wrong, but it usually resolves itself. Recently, I thought the GPU might be failing and considered replacing it, but now I’m wondering if all these parts could be failing together—CPU cooler, CPU, or even the motherboard itself. Could there be a bandwidth issue between the network card and GPU? Maybe the GPU isn’t getting the signal it needs when it’s under load, causing overheating and instability. I don’t have another motherboard, so I’m thinking about upgrading the CPU. Would it help to update the BIOS on my Aorus B550 Pro AC board?
It seems your motherboard is showing signs of trouble. For a fresh upgrade, consider using an AM5 socket with a 7600X processor and a compatible AM5 motherboard board.
I don't think mobile phones are going extinct. I prefer the idea of people making mistakes. Maybe your CPU cooler needs a new job. Do you use Wi-Fi on your router? How does the airflow look in your setup? (I’d lower the voltage on the GPU, it’s simple and free). If you’re curious, try removing the motherboard from cardboard and reassemble it carefully from scratch.

I would start by swapping the power supply, or at least try a different one. The CPU cooler is a point of discussion. Ryzen chips perform well at various temperatures—50, 65, or even 75°C. Many motherboards include fan settings in BIOS to keep things quiet, which can make them noisy when they overheat. I own a 5800X and a Scythe FUMA 2 cooler; after cleaning dust and applying new paste, the CPU would idle around 65°C and rise to 90°C during BOINC Pentathlon 2024 (when computing). After installing fresh thermal paste and ensuring everything is clean, it settled between 50-55°C and reaches 65-70°C under load. The BIOS suggests running the cooler fans only at full speed if temperature exceeds 65°C. I can adjust the fan curve in BIOS to start speeds lower, but it’s not necessary. Regarding the Bluetooth, many cards use USB instead of PCIe lanes for connection. This means your card might connect via USB while the PC uses a different port. AMD has reported some USB-related problems—unstable connections, resets, or even device loss. It might be worth checking for BIOS updates for your motherboard, as these issues should be resolved through updates. If the Bluetooth is via USB internally, ensure your power supply provides stable 12V output. A multimeter could help measure voltage, but it won’t capture rapid fluctuations quickly enough. As for video card crashes or resets, testing on another machine would be the simplest solution—if it works there, the issue likely lies with the power supply or motherboard.
I've already tried it but the results haven't changed much. With three 120mm fans in front, it seemed like the setup was decent at first. However, breaking the glass panel opened the case, which improved airflow significantly. I don’t usually do such modifications—no undervolting or overclocking for me. A gentle wind could work better than none at all. The open enclosure may not perform as well as the 3 120mm units that continuously circulate air. Undervolting seems to potentially cut power use by a quarter while keeping performance intact.
