Hello! For your setup involving an i9 14900 KF processor, focusing on cost-effective choices is smart. You’ll want a motherboard that supports the latest standards, decent graphics for your needs, sufficient RAM, and an affordable cooling solution. Look for budget-friendly options that still deliver reliable performance for video editing and gaming. Let me know if you need more details!

A comprehensive list of parts with budget options is provided. The Z690 model includes USB bios flashback and adequate VRMs, enabling the 14900 to run at unlocked power limits without throttling. For memory, a 64GB DDR4 RAM is recommended; consider whether DDR5 offers sufficient value. Performance improvements are noted even in specialized tasks. Comparisons between DDR4 and DDR5 kits in Adobe Lightroom showed DDR5 outperforming by 28%, while gains in Photoshop were minimal. DDR5 versus DDR4: Is It Time To Upgrade Your RAM? Discover the latest in DDR5 RAM at A 2TB fast PCIe 4.0 SSD paired with a 420 AIO case is needed to handle the power demands of the 14900k. An ATX 3.0 compliant 850W PSU is suitable for an i9 processor and a mid-range GPU. For graphics, the 4070ti Super with 16GB RAM appears to be a solid option, or the standard 4070 could drop to around 550 USD post-launch to compete with the RX 7800XT. I appreciate the choice of using a H610 motherboard, a 5400rpm platter, along with a Noctua cooler and a Seasonic Gold PSU XD.

I really prefer a better MoBo setup. Z790 chipset works well if you plan to overclock your CPU. If not, H770 or B760 options are suitable, though they aren't the most affordable.

Cooler Master AIO isn’t necessary. The Noctua NH-D12L I installed is both more budget-friendly and provides adequate cooling for the CPU.

The PC case selection is up to you; feel free to choose whatever suits your needs.

Regarding the RAM speed, 3733 MHz is not ideal. A 3200 MHz DDR4 would be optimal, as anything above that isn’t worth the investment. You might also consider saving on RAM if the current kit isn’t discounted.

Keep in mind that for the build to succeed, the CPU must be an i9-14900K, not the i9-14900KF. The version ending in KF lacks integrated graphics, so a dedicated GPU is required.

Like I mentioned earlier, the CPU cooler and power supply are crucial. I wouldn’t risk damaging my entire build by opting for a low-quality PSU to throttle the CPU. It would be poor advice to compromise on either component.

Yes, that's why I mentioned the information about the 4000 series super cards. You're correct, it's preferable to obtain the K version to take advantage of the quick sync feature. I'm uncertain about whether a D12L cooler can handle a 300W CPU, as an NSPR of 148 corresponds to a heat load of 250W. The Intel Core i9-14900K is Intel's latest flagship chip, offering clock speeds up to 6 GHz. It runs even faster than the 13900KS due to an additional 100 MHz when more than two cores are running. Our assessment supports that the Raptor Lake Refresh delivers excellent performance for both general use and gaming, provided you're willing to make the change...

I need to understand this. A top-of-the-line KF CPU paired with a very inexpensive motherboard seems like a strange combination. Such imbalanced setups often result in unsatisfactory performance. Aeacus addressed your question, but the main issue is why a budget i9 fits into an ultra-cheap build.

Hey, Aeacus, I'm adjusting the MB to 790 for the ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus D4 Motherboard Socket Intel LGA1700. Also updating the PSU to CORSAIR CX750 ATX 750W Power Supply - 80 Plus or Corsair RM850e (2023) and switching the cooler to Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black. What do you think?
