I own a Phanteks Revolt Pro PSU from Seasonic, which is generally considered a reliable brand. At the moment I’m not experiencing any problems, though this is just general information. This is my first high-quality power supply, and I’ve only been using it for around three months. My setup includes a 3070 GPU, a 5800x CPU, and a B550-F motherboard. With a 1000W PSU, it should comfortably handle these components. It’s positioned at the bottom of my case, which houses a Phanteks Eclipse P360a.

Given that there’s no software to monitor PSU temperatures or voltage precisely, and I don’t have tools like a multimeter or thermometer, how probable is it for this Seasonic PSU to fail under normal new-condition use? More importantly, what would be the typical failure rate for such a unit in its early stages? Additionally, could you share the usual temperature ranges for PSUs in general? I don’t have access to real-time data, so I’m trying to understand the standard behavior based on general knowledge.

I've relied on EVGA PSUs for years... there have been no problems. Usually, the warranty is quite extensive too. My recent upgrade features a 1300W unit with a 10-year warranty.
Don't worry about your new PSU failing or overheating—it's highly improbable you'll encounter an issue. They're designed to endure, outlasting most other parts in your system.

That's understandable, I appreciate knowing how much heat my PC produces. Used to be able to walk behind my desk and feel the PSU vent, but now I have to move it away from the wall. The position of the PC also makes it difficult to place my hand near the side where the PSU is located, and I don’t have a good spot to put it. Mostly I can just get close to the bottom of the case and smell the warm air, but that’s not very helpful since the PSU is likely just functioning properly.

Any product can fail at any moment.
Failure usually occurs immediately.
Your PSU comes with a 12-year warranty; that’s as good as it gets.
Many high-quality power supplies will simply sit idle, never activating the fans needed for cooling.
Only under extreme loads would you notice a PSU fan running.
There’s nothing to be concerned about.
