Sorry for the sparse thread, trying to bypass the spam filter that doesn’t explain my post issues.
Specs: CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, Motherboard Asus X570-PLUS with Wi-Fi, RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB pro 32GB (2x16) DDR4, SSD Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME plus a 3TB hard drive, Power Supply Corsair 2018 650W 80+ Gold, GPU AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, Case Thermaltake V200 RGB ATX Mid Tower, Stock cooler, Monitor Asus VG278QR 27.0" 1920 x 1080 165 Hz, budget up to $400 including shipping. Currently considering the RX 9060 XT 16GB but preferring the triple fan version for better cooling. Is this a solid choice, or should I explore alternatives?
EDIT: Seeking primarily gaming use, with some college work on the side.
EDIT 2: Including games I play keeps getting blocked by the spam filter. WHY?
EDIT 3: Frostpunk 2 and EVE Online are my main games (the third is blocked for another reason).

It doesn't really matter which RX 9060 XT 16GB model you choose. The 9060 XT consumes less power at 160 watts compared to the 5700 XT at 225 watts, and opting for a triple fan is essentially just paying more without significant benefits, as the dual fan version works almost identically with only slightly higher temperatures. Dual or triple fan models produce the same heat output, though the triple fan distributes it more evenly due to its larger heatsink. You're likely to reach power limits before temperature issues arise.
That said, select the model that matches your budget and preference, whether it's dual or triple fan.

This model would offer a significant improvement over your present GPU. You might also think about upgrading your CPU in the near future. The 5700x is available for approximately $165.

Yes, the 9060xt will definitely be a significant improvement over your present GPU. I agree with the thought of opting for a 5700x and selling the 3700x to recover some expenses. Still, the 9060xt is worth considering.
