Check out Civilization V with the Brave New World expansion, Endless Legend from Terraria, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons for a twin stick setup. You might enjoy Transistor, Freedom Planet, Anno 2070 Cities: Skylines Mirror's Edge, and Trine/Trine 2.
