What an absurd concept the Paradox business model is.

I was eager to try this Stellaris game. After months of waiting, I finally got a modest PC. I’m planning to start with Steam and be done. 12! Those DLCs are insane! Are they going crazy? Why would someone ruin their game like that? I want to back them up, but I don’t have the budget. Do they know what they’re doing?
The game launched in 2016 and receives updates every six months with additional content for a small fee. Why would that be an issue?
It adds more material for the game. The OP should express gratitude to them.
Absolutely, it's similar to getting $8 every six months for additional material.
You don’t need to purchase the DLC. Simply enjoy the game; if you feel uninterested or wait for a discount, the DLC isn’t required.
Paid DLC marked the beginning for MTX's, having existed for quite some time. Clearly, what many older gamers view today as outdated, is now seen as standard practice. Paid DLC has become the norm, and it’s rare to see anyone still opposing that idea. I believe paid content is now expected, not a novelty. The era of purchasing 'complete' games is behind us. What I can say is, hope your luck is with MTX—don’t let them become as widely accepted as they are. They’re definitely moving forward.
I enjoy exploring complex games thoroughly, yet this firewall cost feels off-putting.
