I own 32 units in my home system but it seems mostly unused. I aimed to set all four dimmers for style, though I’m a casual user who might have managed with just 16.

I've generally managed well with the same tools you do, relying mainly on the 32 GB my old machine offered. Of course, programs like Premiere or After Effects face challenges since they limit how much footage they can preview before running out of space, and this gets worse with more effects applied. However, those were the main issues I've experienced. For now, I'm using a 64 GB system mainly because it was within my budget and I have multiple applications—video editing and audio work—each needing significant memory.

Only 32GB worked well at the moment, though I usually prefer 16GB for gaming.

Wow! 32GB is impressive for a top-tier gaming rig… though 16GB works perfectly for a mid-range gaming PC.

This feeling has been discussed for a long time and was accurate once, but it no longer applies, particularly for the system you're creating now so you can be ready tomorrow.

32GB storage. I increased it from 16GB since I often needed to use the page file while doing my NSMBW modification.

It's common for the MSFS 2020 installer to consume a lot of space, even just the executable file. That's because it's a large game with many assets.

A solid 16GB capacity works perfectly for my needs right now!

Premium option available, but mid-range works too—16GB is sufficient for my son’s PC. He’s currently using 9GB with Chrome and CS GO, etc.
