Hi all, Can anyone tell me what I have? It's a black box, a little larger than a credit card (7cm wide by 12cm long, 2.5cm tall at the front and 5cm tall at the back (think a wedge shape)). On the top it has a red and a green LED and a port (0.5cm wide by 1.5cm long). On the back it has a standard PS2 port and a 9V 20mA dc connector. On the bottom all it says is that it's a KB69273. Inside, the circuit board says it is an RU board (CP10 94V-0) and has A207454AB printed on the board. The last bit of identification is a RoHS sticker which reads C2818577. Any help would be gratefully accepted!

Share images of the PCB. Most of these appear to be regulatory identifiers. It seems this is likely a homemade or custom component, possibly a remote panel for a machine.

I considered a security logging feature or something similar. I didn’t think about a remote connection for a device. Thanks.

It seems to be a PS2 connector, possibly for both signals and power. Opening it up might help you understand its function through the components.

I 'think' it's for a signal, as there is a 9V plug right next to it, though I could very easily be wrong. This is the circuit board, for anyone who can ID it.

It's an MSP430 chip paired with an RS232 interface, making this application tailored. I think it's probably a safety feature for a machine—perhaps a key insertion triggers the MCU to confirm with a clear "OK" response, while the LEDs indicate status that might not always be directly useful.
