I need to create a bootable USB for Windows 8.1 PRO to install on my new PC. I bought the key from G2A and used the shield method. I followed the tutorial on YouTube and @be4rgryllz also assisted me. The issue I’m facing is inserting the USB into the computer; the progress bar reaches 99% and then it shows failure. I’ve formatted the drive correctly. Can you help me? Thank you!

Need a 8GB or larger flash drive? Win 8 Pro requires more than 8GB.

I'm really confused. Now I need to look for something, hehe.

What size file are you attempting to transfer? Is it exceeding 4GB? EDIT - clearly the operating system requires more than 4GB, consider purchasing a larger USB drive.

The issue is that it's 1:30 am and I'm just 14, so I can't easily drive over. People say 4 GB should work, but I wonder if it's enough for an 8.1 Pro.

4GB is sufficient for Windows 7 (the file size is around 3.7GB).

We and my friend went to the shop, bought a 16gb usb drive, but it didn’t work. I used Rufus and it said it would work. After finishing the build, we faced issues using the usb, so genius from @thesean1 suggested burning it onto a disk instead. We tried that and it finally worked. Now we’re installing games and drivers and are ready to play.

I attempted the USB device for three hours (since @ alby800 was in the toilet for half the time), and then tried the disk—it functioned properly.
