I received my new PC recently and my Steam download speed jumped from 5-8mb/s to now 80-90mb/s. For other launchers like Epic Games or Ubisoft, my speeds are only about 8-10mb/s. My previous system's downloads were around 4-8mb/s for all games. I think my new motherboard supports Wi-Fi 6 and my old one was likely worse. Shouldn't the faster Wi-Fi speed in Steam also work with other game launchers? Or is it just because Steam has more open bandwidth?

Steam offers solid download speeds. It's unclear exactly how fast they are. My current plan allows for 500mb downloads. On speedtest.net, I achieve about 480mb per second. When downloading a game on Steam, I reach up to 60MB per second, which equals 480mb per second.
