I've considered getting a laptop from Newegg. Right now I'm satisfied with my home-built desktop which is still functioning well. I was thinking about whether a Lenovo or Asus model from Newegg would include a recovery disk, so I could restore the device if needed.
My activities include recording guitar, basic photo editing, web browsing, word processing, and some video editing.
The main choice I need to make is between purchasing a laptop or keeping my desktop setup.
After that, I'd want something I can download drivers for, as I enjoy cleaning the drive and starting fresh with a clean Windows installation before adding drivers and programs.

Currently, they usually don't include a recovery disk; instead, Windows provides a recovery partition. Just like you, I perform clean installs, yet the recovery partition remains available. You also have the option to create your own recovery disk or flash drive.

Usually they aren't included with a disk. They offer the capability for you to build your own (USB) version, allowing you to bring it back in its original state. A superior alternative would be to perform a complete OS installation and add the necessary drivers.

Certainly some laptops such as Lenovo models include a recovery button that allows access to a hidden hard drive area for performing a factory reset. This seems less important if you don’t require the convenience of a portable device. If portability isn’t essential, a desktop might offer better value in terms of cost and performance. Could you share your current hardware specifications? Maybe a modest upgrade would be suitable.

I usually choose a hard drive wipe and a new OS installation, but finding the right drivers is the challenge.
I’m about to check if I can locate the drivers before purchasing the laptop.

Create a personal copy of the operating system whenever finished. This way, you can recover to a particular moment instead of starting from nothing.
