I'm considering purchasing a handheld gaming device, specifically the SteamDeck OLED or the Legion Go, both currently available for £500. I'm inclined to choose the Legion Go because of its bigger display and higher resolution, along with its stronger processor. Are there any known problems with these models before making a decision? I also want to know if it's possible to connect it to a dock for TV playback and use an Xbox controller. This is intended for playing older games like Borderlands 2, F1 2020, Black Ops 3, and similar titles that don't require heavy demands. It's meant for use while I'm overseas. Cheers

More questions about whether anyone who owns one has any problems with the OLED Steam Deck or the Go, since all I have are the Go running Windows, which I’d rather have but the Steam Deck offers better battery life. Performance isn’t really a big factor here.

I know the Ally X and Claw 8 exist, but I’m not willing to spend £800-1000 for just 5% more performance when the OLED and Go are available at £500. The rest of the comparisons seem like a bunch of generic points that don’t add much value.

It doesn’t relate to my main concern, focusing on numerous launch videos, skin depth “battery life optimization” content, and comparisons to the ally X—details that are clear from the spec sheet. I understand the specifications, but I’m after insights into hidden issues and long-term user experiences.

If you actually watch the videos, you'd discover that at least one of them featured a handheld device used for a year before being recorded. Also, personal annoyances vary, so it's hard to fully capture all the complaints people mention. Additionally, manufacturing quirks are typically addressed through warranty coverage.
