Hello everyone, I've been gathering parts for my PC build and I'm curious about the power supply I should choose. I found a Gigabyte Aorus Elite AE850PM PG5 and an MSI MPG A850G 850W PCI5. Do you think they are good options? Which one would be better or are there other better choices?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Per this;
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...pZ...=931697732
^
Gigabyte Aorus Elite AE850PM PG5
Tier: A-(minus)
+
MSI MPG A850G 850W PCI5
Tier: A
That's the quality of the unit, now for context, we'll need more info as a system isn't just comprised of just the processor and discrete GPU. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
Chassis:
OS:

Hello, thank you for your prompt responses.
For your build I would suggest:
CPU: Intel i7-11700k
CPU cooler: Gamdias Boreas M2-51D
Motherboard: B560
RAM: 16 gb DDR4 (planned upgrade to 32gb DDR4)
Storage: WD blue SN580 1TB SSD/HDD
GPU: Asus Rog Strix RX 6900 XT
Chassis: Gamdias Aura GC10M V2 ARGB
Operating System: Windows 10
Monitor: Coolermaster GM238-FFS
Please let me know your thoughts on the CPU cooler and case options, as I haven’t made any purchases yet. Also, confirm the power supply requirements for everything. Thank you ahead of time.

You can share any advice about CPU coolers and PC cases since I haven’t made a purchase yet. The same applies to the power supply—please keep these points in mind. Thank you ahead of time.

I'm from Serbia
Looking for something near $120, and the buying site isn't important to me.

I always favor air coolers no matter the day. Recommended models include: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO, review: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/therm...ler/7.html Thermalright Royal Pretor 130, review: They also offer good value. My two setups (specs/pics in my profile) use both the Royal Pretor 130 and these coolers. The case selection depends on personal preference, but aim for something you can use daily. The three Thermalright units stand at 157-158mm, so choose a case that fits them. MSI MPG A850G is a reliable Tier A choice. For more affordable picks, check the linked PSU tier list and consider Tier A+ models. If budget allows, look into the Montech Century II in your area.

Some thoughts:
1. On the psu, don’t cut corners. Purchase only a high-quality unit.
In the case of no reputable review, check the warranty. Seek a 7-year warranty or longer. Opt for a more robust model. A psu will only consume the power it needs, not the maximum capacity. The price difference between 750w and 850w units is usually small.
A better unit supports future GPU upgrades and handles higher demands effectively.
$120 might be insufficient.
2. If you require 32gb of RAM, consider buying a 2 x 16gb package right away.
RAM should be purchased in matching kits to achieve advertised performance.
Upgrading later could cause issues; two sticks are easier for the motherboard than four.
3. More efficient coolers are available at similar prices. The thermalright units referenced by Aeacus are a solid choice.
4. Why Windows 10? You’ll constantly be urged to switch to 11.

The budget for the Cooler Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE is around 4,880 RSD, and the DeepCool CC560 ARGB V2 costs approximately 6,820 RSD.
