I’m starting with the assumption that this question was meant for the Asus forums, but I can’t log in because their CAPTCHA system is completely faulty. That’s definitely worth a comment. Recently, I bought a Maximus xii formula and a 10850k board for testing. The BIOS SP rating comes in at 115, which is higher than the typical 63 and close to the world record of 10900k. So either I have a very special chip or the board’s prediction is off. After checking the video tables, it looks like this chip can run at lower voltages than most similar models. I haven’t tested enough yet to be sure, but the lack of voltage details under the prediction is odd. Normally, BIOS provides expected load voltages, but here they’re just marked N/A. This makes me question whether the prediction is accurate for this board. I’ve reset the BIOS and switched AI tuning on and off to see if voltage info appears, hoping it will help confirm the SP rating. Any advice would be great. See screenshot below: IMG_3286.HEIC
The single figure seems questionable. Overclocking might actually work quite well if you try it properly. It could mean you’ve found a very high-quality ASIC CPU.
I would say the cpu isent getting enough power to be tested but maybe you have a golden cpu i dont know Or you have different cpu in the box lol but yeah i would say not enough power
Approaches 300W at 1.3V for the CPU only; power needs are uncertain. Already near critical temperature.
It seems unusual. Have you attempted removing the CPU and reinstalling it, or simply restarting to test functionality? It might just be a high-quality CPU.
I haven't attempted removing it or reinstalling, yet I've set up Windows and completed stress tests at default configurations.
