I've heard the new x570 model comes with noisy fans that could introduce more reliability issues. How significant is this problem? You're weighing upgrading from your old q6600 toward the newer Ryzens and their potential cooling needs. Right now I'm torn—should I hold off until October for the latest generation, or should I be concerned about noticeable noise if I wait? I'm using a Fraktal define r6 and am struggling to believe I've delayed this update. My priority is silence for music, so I prefer quiet fans. I don't like liquid cooling, but I'm not sure about a motherboard with a fan.

The fans on my Asus WS-X570 and Zenith II Extreme boards rarely turn. When they do, it's only noticeable when the case is open and I'm extremely close.

certain systems are recognized for becoming noisy when activation is required, yet many users report they seldom power up in a properly constructed setup.

Yes, there are standards and guidelines that define how audible noise is measured, such as ISO 1996 series and ASTM E152. These provide methods for testing sound levels in various environments.

AMD enthusiasts can be quite bothersome overall.

I took out the fan noise from my crosshair viii hero to make it quieter. Here’s the link: https://shop.watercool.de/epages/Waterco...ucts/10204

The ASUS Aorus Elite is quite different from other models. If the fan fails, you can usually find official replacements through ASUS support or authorized dealers.

I'm using an x570 Aorus Pro and honestly, it's hard to hear the chipset fan near it, let alone over my case fans. When it comes to the fan stopping, only time will tell. From what I know, unless you're running a ton of PCI 4.0 devices, the chipset probably stays cool enough that a fan failure isn't the end of the line even if replacements aren't available.

You seem curious about being left out of discussions about fans. If a fan is added, it usually means it's required. I'm hoping this isn't a major oversight. Regarding Aorus Pro versus Elite, the main differences lie in their features and performance, though the fan itself remains consistent between them.
