Thanks for welcoming me to the chats! This will be my third Pc Build and I am just wanting some advice on if it will work for my needs. I have been to alot of bottleneck calculators and such. The response is good, but i would like some real world feed back. Weather I will need to change something or if the current configuration (build) will work. So here goes:
AMD Ryzen 9 7950x, rtx 3080 12gb
SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD 2TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280
DeepCool LT720 360mm AIO 4th Gen Dual-Chamber Pump
ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming Socket AM5(LGA 1718)
(x2 Totaling 64GB) G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series (AMD Expo) DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s
I only play Farming Simulator, ATS and Transport Fever. Will a build like this allow 4k at 60hz without any issuses? Thanks
Bottleneck calculators essentially lose value. Pricing makes it hard to determine if you're overpaying, especially for the motherboard. The RTX3080 with 12GB is currently uncommon and likely not worth the higher cost unless you're purchasing a used one. The RTX4070 Super 12GB offers better performance today at $600 compared to the cheapest RTX3080 12GB model priced at $750. No power supply unit or chassis information provided.
Choosing a quality ASUS motherboard while keeping costs in check.
If you can stretch your budget, pairing the RTX 4070 Ti Super with 16GB RAM is ideal, especially for gaming at 4K resolution.

Do the games you referred to rely on the core count? If not, you could be better off with a 7800X3D.
You don’t need a X670E unless you’re missing out on essential IO. A standard B650 board with PCIe 5.0 M.2 would work well for most regular users.
I don't believe he requires 16c/32t though. Even 8c/16t CPUs work perfectly in most simulator games. An Intel CPU would be significantly cheaper than a 7950x and could fulfill the same needs if multithreaded performance were essential.
Unclear why you'd need 64gb of RAM, but if one of those titles consumes a lot of memory, it's still manageable without breaking the bank. I’d suggest something similar for 4k60 on simulator games. As always, you can adjust CPU choices based on your budget.
