It's a solid board, one of the better Z170 ITX options. What makes you ask? It's not a deal that really stands out these days—usually it's pricey and more than enough for most needs. Plus, the CPU platform is nearly ten years old, and you'd be surprised how often those boards start failing after a decade. It's not something I'd rely on for much longer.
It's acceptable, but why would you need it? It's quite outdated and comes with a high price tag used condition. Such a setup isn't ideal for building a modern PC, as it only supports older hardware from the 6th and 7th generations.
It's a solid choice, I own one and it consistently performs well for me. This Z170 model is excellent for RAM OC tasks and other related benchmarks.
It's been a long time since I assembled my final rig...about 1998. I still have a solid case, I think. It's a plain aluminum Lian Li model. I powered it up today and it's running fine...lol. I don't like all the fancy RGB lighting, just want decent performance. I can't splurge on speed, but I'd go for what fits my budget. Around 300 dollars is where I'm at. I've seen some of his cheaper builds and they performed well! Not a big gamer, mostly because of time constraints. Any ideas on what I could put together?
If the budget is that, you'll have to scavenge for used equipment. Chances are you might manage to find something like a R5 3600 and GTX 1080 if you're lucky.
