That's typical. It will transition to a list view upon pressing Control+Shift+5. You can revert it by right-clicking the desktop and selecting View > Medium Icons, or by pressing Control+Shift+3.

I've seen this happen before (in a thread, not first hand) and I thought it was amazing idk how or why this happens but hopefully someone can help. Perhaps try this above ^ (though I tried doing that to get it into this view and it didn't work so idk if the way to get it out will). -PS moved to the Windows subforum-

I just ran it and confirmed it functions on Server 2012 R2. That’s all the testing I need to do.

Used Ctrl+Shift+6 to adjust settings. Pressed Ctrl+Shift+3 to return to defaults. Scrolling mouse wheel up/down on the desktop achieves the same effect.

I attempted the control shift 6 but it didn’t work. The control + scroll only changes size without altering the view mode. Could be an issue with your system.
