Welcome to PC gaming! Let's get started.
You're just beginning your PC gaming journey and enjoying it, right? I noticed you're using a powerful setup but still facing some performance hiccups. Your current configuration includes a high-end GPU, decent RAM, and solid storage. You've tried different settings and drivers, but the results aren't quite what you hoped for. It sounds like your system is handling the load well, but there might be something else affecting frame rates. Have you checked your system settings, especially the power plan and GPU settings? Also, consider updating your drivers again or looking into BIOS tweaks. Let me know if you want more specific advice!
In the BIOS settings? Yes. I understand I won’t match the other player’s FPS, but what bothers me is that my FPS doesn’t change much even when I reduce the settings.
Lowering the settings allows your CPU to transmit data to the GPU more quickly, but it can't handle it. Increasing the settings forces the GPU to process more data, which frees up time for the CPU. Raising settings doesn't boost frame rates; it changes where delays occur—from the CPU to the GPU.
I use minimal settings and won't jump around trying to boost FPS by tweaking them. Just keep everything at low, turn Raytracing off and DLSS off for best results.
I wasn't aware of that. Thank you. At least I realize I can't do anything about it now.
