First of all. What board do you have? Second of all, ryzen doesn't have a big headroom for overclocking. They're pretty close to being maxed out, our of the box so just enable pbo and that'll do the job. And if you really want to manually overclock then focus on memory. It's a trial and error process and will take time and effort.
Not used to MSI's BIOS, but it's there. For serious manual overclocking, prioritize memory—it's especially useful with Ryzen processors.
I completed the Auto OC in Ryzen Master and it seems it didn’t push the frequency much higher—it settled around 4.2GHz, which was lower than before when under load (it dropped to 3.8GHz). My CPU temperature stayed at a comfortable 76°C, so it looks like the changes helped. I haven’t turned on PBO yet; will that make any difference? Thanks!
Recommend using the bios for testing. You evaluate performance gains while checking results.
I modified the BIOS settings and successfully locked the BIOS to 4.2 GHz at 1.3V.
