weird USB connections
weird USB connections
my friends laptop is experiencing strange problems with its usb port when using a mouse or a stick. with the mouse it works but the rgb display doesn't move, and with the stick it works but windows can't detect anything in the port. sometimes a windows.iso stick appears normally. i thought the usb port might be the issue, but i've tried everything without success. the notebook is a samsung r430 and i updated the bios to 8.0 before it was 7.0.
What operating system are you using? If it's Windows 10, please specify the version number. Have you ensured all necessary drivers for your laptop are installed? Sometimes they may become corrupted or missing. In a Windows environment, install all drivers in an elevated command after downloading them from the manufacturer's support site (not from third-party applications). During installation, use an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

I am using Windows 7 version (?) The manufacturer installed the chipset driver, BIOS update, all hotfixes and WLAN for wireless connection (which is terrible). I also tried uninstalling all USB drivers (including hidden ones) from the device manager and restarted the machine. Still nothing happened.
Two things I think are important
I am testing a mouse, one stick with W7 image and another with W10 image. Only 2 ports work out of 3:
1. When I turn on the computer with both sticks connected, Windows recognizes only the W7 stick and I can access the files (both ports), but if I remove the sticks and try again, I never see the files again.
2. In BIOS the same happens, I can see the W7 boot stick but not the W10 stick.
I will try to install the drivers as an administrator to see if it works.
