This monitor has been acting odd since I got it. The speakers have been sounding strange for a week now. I’m using DisplayPort 1440P at 170Hz and everything works fine when I listen, but after some time the audio quality drops to a static-like mess. It can take anywhere from a couple of hours to five minutes for this to happen. I’ve tried muting/unmuting both the monitor and computer audio, but it only fixes it if I power cycle the device (press off the back for a few seconds then turn it back on). It’s frustrating because I have built-in speakers, but I wish I could capture the sound with another device. I can’t record it easily, and whenever I try, it fails. Anyone know what’s going on?

You can also return it and request the vendor to provide the shipping box. EDIT: remember, save the box for a few weeks until you’re sure it’s working correctly.

You could attempt the return, or you might opt for external speakers—this could be a simpler path. Still, can I process the RMA if I ordered through Amazon?

Are you asking if handling returns remains the top choice?
