Hey
I have this configuration: P5Q Deluxe, Q9550 @ 3.9ghz 1.32v, Gskill 8500HK, xfx 550w.
For the past eight years, I've kept it with that overclock setting, stress prime, and a 48-hour memtest on a WC. It's always been stable.
Sometimes I'd see the 'Overclock failed' message from ASUS MoBo when I changed the cooling liquid or unplugged the power cable. For a few days.
Now I sold the PC, and the buyer would just disconnect the power cable every time I shut it down. That's why he keeps getting the overclock fail alert.
I assumed it was the CMOS battery since it was the original one. I swapped it out today, unplugged the cable, and pressed the power button for over 30 seconds to discharge it. When I tried to turn it on, it failed again.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance

Ensure all configurations are reset or verify BIOS settings to identify any adjustments that might enhance stability.
