when bluetooth isn't connected, certain things appear on my computer like my wallpaper engine and some games take a long time. but when i connect my bluetooth (such as airpods), everything works smoothly and loads quickly. i've updated all drivers and am using the latest version of windows 10. i asked dell support about this, but they don't know what's going on. someone suggested I ask tech experts for help. i'm attaching my desktop below so you can see all my apps.

Check Bluetooth in Settings to turn it off. Notice if the issue improves. It may be trying to find devices even after being disconnected.

unfortunately this didn't work as expected. for comparison, on wallpaper engine I can switch between multiple wallpapers using hotkeys. when my AirPods are connected, the transition takes roughly half a second; without them it takes around 20 seconds. additionally, my simple ragdoll physics game functions properly with AirPods connected, but stutters every couple of seconds when they're not. thanks for the suggestion!

You might remove the Bluetooth drivers via Device Manager, restart your computer, and have Windows reinstall them. Alternatively, you can download and install them directly from Dell, such as by right-clicking the Start button.
