Last night my game ping became very inconsistent, something I haven’t experienced before. I checked Ookla’s speedtest and it keeps showing random drops or spikes—like 100 down, 10 up, or 20 down, 2 up—without any server changes. What might be happening? (I’ve already reinstalled my Ethernet drivers.)

Run ping tests from another machine. If outcomes match, the issue lies with the network. If performance improves significantly, the problem is likely on the PC side.

I performed the test and it was consistent across both systems. Both showed similar delays. I also ran a ping to Google and here are the details. Is there a chance the issue lies with your router or your internet service provider?

The only straightforward option is to swap out the router. If the issue continues, either ask the ISP to check the line leading to your home or switch to a different provider and have them install new wiring.
