Web browsers trigger 'out of memory' alerts, computers slow down, and systems crash unexpectedly
Recently my browsers have been acting up. Sometimes they crash unexpectedly, showing an 'out of memory' warning. The whole system slows down as if under strain, even though the CPU usage seems low. I can’t use the computer at all times and often have to restart it. A few weeks ago I replaced my RAM because the existing sticks were bad. After that, I ran MemTest86 twice and everything worked fine, so it’s not the hardware issue. My machine has an i7 6700k with 16 GB DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz and a GTX 1070.
