I'm experiencing some issues with my 4K TV/monitor and possibly the GPU. On my secondary 1080p display everything seems normal, but the main screen is causing concerns. I notice intermittent problems like white snow, a pink tint, dimness with flashing areas—especially with a pink hue appearing twice. Sometimes the screen looks distorted or blurry, and after it goes black, it can appear sharpened to maximum. These issues are persistent, especially when minimizing or maximizing browsers (Chrome and Edge) with hardware acceleration enabled. It seems to occur whenever a video is playing in the current tab. Random full-screen apps (not all) trigger the blackout effect, which Furmark has also experienced. Firefox doesn’t have the same issue with restoring down. However, on certain videos it still happens occasionally. I’ve tried several fixes: plugging the GPU into the lower PCIe slot, power cycling the TV, using a new 5ft 8K rated HDMI cable, swapping cables and ports, adjusting NVIDIA settings in the control panel, resetting drivers, backing up and reinstalling Windows, replacing the device, and even performing a full system reset. I also removed some files during a Windows restore to troubleshoot. Recently, my GPU (Ryzen 7 5800X Asus TUF GAMING x570-Plus) stopped working properly, despite temperatures staying normal and no artifacts appearing during a 1080p Furmark test. Drivers have been reinstalled multiple times but haven’t resolved the problem. I’ve also encountered occasional sound loss on Windows when a black screen occurs, possibly due to USB device removal. This is my final step before considering an RMA for the GPU.
Hi, I'm checking if I'm connecting the same HDMI as the TV and testing the 1080p monitor. Have you used a different HDMI cable before? What's the age of that cable? Also, have you tried using the Mobo HDMI port on the TV?

Have you performed another complete scan? I can provide you with an McAffee key at no cost—I have unlimited access, just let me know if you want one so I can send it. Both cables should work, since you reinstalled Windows and you’ve checked your display drivers. (I use GEForce for RTX cards.) My RTX 1070 also had the same problems, but in my case nothing appeared on the screen. The cables will function at 60Hz as they support that frequency. I’m using 8K on a 1440p resolution to future-proof my setup. Have you tried this?
I'm starting another full scan right now. I'll also run an offline check with defender. I like using defender because a friend who's been coding for 40 years recommended it. Quote 2 says the Windows reinstall happened before the artifacting began, so the DDU driver work was done afterward. I don't know how long the browser problem has lasted—it's not that bad, honestly. I've been ignoring it until now. Quote 3: I'll give it a try now.
I've been checking Nivdia from the form and Reddit; I saw a similar problem in this discussion. Take a look at the comments (some might have issues with Chrome or Edge, maybe switch?) and try the power management feature too! Of course, let me know how it goes.

Optimize for peak performance was the main goal after a few tries. I felt really excited. However, the issue resurfaced in another area I hadn’t noted before. When I forced a browser to open maximized, the screen appeared distorted—like the sharpness was turned up too high.
It appears the video playback on YouTube triggers a black screen with hardware acceleration issues. The sharpness effect also appears on the desktop. Disabling hardware acceleration and restarting Chrome resolves the problem, returning to normal. This issue is specific to the TV but not the 1080p monitor.
