I recently switched to Windows 8.1 after my previous setup failed. I notice some browsers causing my computer to freeze, requiring restarts, but I can't identify the issue. With Chrome, I see frequent crashes—especially when opening new tabs, though it doesn’t happen randomly. It also occurred with other browsers when running in the background. Opera was similar; it crashed once, possibly due to Chrome being open. Noticed no problems when no browser was active. I tried turning off all plugins in Chrome, but the crash persisted.

It's tough to complete it before it fails.

I turned it off and it's holding for a couple of minutes without stopping, I'll update you once it's stable after an hour

Continues failing, appears less frequent now, though it might just be random.

I don't understand what's happening. It seems like there might be a problem with your graphics drivers, and crashes in browsers are uncommon. I'm not sure how to assist further right now.

It appears the browsers trigger the issue, causing a full system crash, not just the browser itself. Before reinstalling, I used identical hardware without any issues. Also, uninstalling Cataclyst helped resolve the problem.

1-----Verify RAM... If you have dual memory, replace one and restart... if issue persists, test another RAM. 2-----Inspect connection between CPU and heat sink...
