Hello, yesterday I replaced my GPU and now I'm seeing slowdowns with my browser. It's mostly noticeable when watching a YouTube video—both in fullscreen and regular mode—and then clicking on different parts of the video that are already loaded. The browser freezes briefly (mouse movement works fine), but not with my old GPU. With games, it didn't happen before.

Specs: Intel I5 12600K, Gigabyte Z690 Gaming, DDR4, Crucial Balistix 32GB, 3200MHz, 1660 Super.
Windows: ASUS Tuf RX 6700 XT, Corsair RMX 850W, Windows 11 Pro (all drivers updated).
I used DDU before the swap and tested in Firefox and Opera with and without XMP settings. Enabled gfx.webrender.all didn't help. Also tried turning on Freesync in AMD settings, but nothing changed.

Another source suggested it could be due to the GPU clocking down (checked via hwinfo—clock range is 0-6MHz, occasionally up to 50MHz, sometimes spikes to 500). I don't know how to verify or adjust that.

Just noticed my screen went black for a second while writing this—it never happened before.

Review the event viewer for any driver crashes. Did you remove the Nvidia drivers via DDU when you switched? Are there any dropped frames in your videos? This could be the usual AMD GPU driver performance I was used to after 12 years with them.

No crashes occurred. The frames reduced from around 144 (at 144Hz display) to 15–30 during that time.
