I focus more on transferring data to my phone and occasionally keep large collections of FLAC and MP4 files on microSD for on-the-go use and entertainment.
I avoid storing videos or photos on Google Drive. I believe the limit is 15GB for uncompressed files and 4K consumes a significant amount of space. Once you surpass 15GB, I think Google reduces high-resolution videos to 1080p and caps images at 16Mpixels, unless you start charging.
It’s not too much of an issue since I don’t upload GoPro 4K/5K videos to my Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. At about 500MB per minute for 4K video, I’d quickly reach the data cap on a local SIM or spend a lot of time uploading.
I understand using the cloud is acceptable if you don’t shoot in HD, use affordable mobile data, and stay within your free storage limit.
I'm wanting to use Meta Link on my pc but the power output is not enough to keep the battery charged and I'm still having quite a bit of lag. I bought a good high rated link cable. Thinking I could simply plug and play to my PC but not with this latency and charge rate! Oh well I will keep this in mind when upgrading my pc again. Must get a board with lightning charging capabilities lol and god tier USB transfer speed. Its something I've never thought about or took into consideration before but here we are in the Meta age.
I'm sure they didn't offer 3.5mm headphone sockets either. That's something I pay attention to. My previous two Samsung phones had them, but they were inexpensive. It seems like a marketing tactic to charge you more for extra built-in storage.
There comes a time when high-end wired headphones sound better than Bluetooth, yet possibly affordable DACs in phones can mask that advantage. This is just a matter of personal preference.
If the setup matches what's described below, they suggest using USB-C, which could deliver more power than USB-A. Note this means the USB-C connector fits on both ends of the cable.
