Hey everyone! I recently acquired a second i7-9700K and ran Cinebench R23. My scores ranged from 7400 to 7800 points. However, online benchmarks suggest a target of about 8300. I watched a YouTube video where someone achieved 8336 without dropping turbo (4.5 GHz) and kept power usage near 150W during the multicore test. I re-ran the test and my system stayed under 65W, only reaching turbo for a couple of minutes—manually adjusted via Intel Extreme Utility Tuning. Could you help explain why my CPU isn't performing as expected? I've attached the Core Temp screenshots from both tests. PC specs: non-K i7-9700, 32 GB DDR4 at 3600MHz (dual channel & XMP), Asus TUF B365M-Plus Gaming with latest BIOS, Nvidia 3050 8GB dual fans, Thermaltake 550W 80Plus Gold, 480GB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 3. Thanks for your support!

The recommended TDP is shown on the second Core Temp image you shared, reaching up to 156W. Your setup is at 65W. The person in the video is running a custom Turbo Boost setting.

I understand your concern. The expected scores should be over 8500 points, but checking the site confirms that. Regarding your custom Turbo Boost setup, it might affect performance depending on your hardware.

Advanced settings? Where you can adjust power limits and similar things. BIOS options differ a lot. Search for anything resembling CPU power control. I checked the CPU compatibility for that motherboard—it supports 95W TDP, so it should handle continuous operation.

I was trying to get the SS and found some settings, I changed them and I think I got it! You are the best! Thank you!
