Guys I have a decent rig with a 11600k running at 4.8, an EVGA 3070 with slight OC, 16GB 3200MHz RAM and a good M.2 SSD. I'm using a 1440p monitor in ultra settings and my FPS in major cities is 60-70 fps. What's confusing is that I'm only utilizing 4% of the CPU, 40% of the GPU, and 78% of the RAM. I'm not sure what to do, any advice would be great. Thanks as always.

WoW has many issues, it's very CPU-intensive. A quicker processor with better performance will be the only way to improve things. Playing in major cities will always reduce your FPS compared to playing in the world.

Yeah I get that too. In dungeons and raids I usually hit 125+, it's just the main city that's really tough for me. It blows my mind that the CPU or GPU aren't even struggling, though that's a bummer. How would the 5800X3D handle or even be worth it? I built my wife a 5600 rig with the same GPU but more RAM, and she's getting better FPS than me. I was thinking about trying Intel again last year, but should have stuck with Ryzen since they banned it after the 1600.

I own a 12700k with a 3070ti and an R7 5800x paired with an RX 6800. In Valdrakken near the inn, my Intel machine runs at 60-70fps. The AMD setup performs similarly.

seems to be a bit down, but I'll manage, at least. i'm above 60fps, that's good! thanks for your support, it really helps. i hope you're feeling better too.
