We recommend a RAM upgrade for better performance.
Hi everyone, I'm setting up a new system mainly for 3D creation with Blender and gaming. I haven't planned to boost the CPU much at this stage. My choices are: Motherboard – TUF Gaming X570-Plus. The specs mention a 4400 MHz RAM speed, which is compatible with Ryzen 7 but I'm still unsure about what that means. I've also read some negative comments about the AMD RYZEN 7 3700 3.6 GHz processor. For graphics, I'll be using the Gigabyte RX 5700 XT 8 GB Gaming OC, which should handle cross-firing with the AMD mainboard once built. I'm buying from Umart or Scorptec since they're the most affordable in my area and have good reputations. I'd really appreciate some advice from experienced PC builders on RAM options. My initial plan is to get at least 32 GB, but I intend to expand to 128 GB later. Thanks for your help!
Ryzen 3rd Gen works well with 3600mhz RAM, and higher speeds offer little extra gain. I’d pick a 3600mhz setup, perhaps the Corsair Vengeance LX. It’s simple yet reliable, delivering decent performance at a lower cost compared to RGB or faster timings options. Also, do you really need 128GB? That’s quite a lot!
Hey there, thanks for the tip. The RGB setting isn't really a big deal for me. I'm not sure if I actually need the 128GB right now, but I'm curious about getting the 128GB offered by the mainbored later. Since I won't be able to upgrade soon, maybe 128GB is more than I need. Textures usually require a lot of memory, but I think 32 or 64GB should suffice for creating game assets and real-time texturing, which is pretty limited.
