All the RAM modules I own are 16 DDR4 units, which is the intended setup.

I don't have specific details about the recommended dimensions for dual-channel configurations on a Dell G5 5000 desktop. You may need to consult Dell's official documentation or contact their support for precise specifications.

The dimm slots for filling would likely be mentioned in the manual. Usually, they are the furthest from the CPU and the slot two on the left. Also remember to quote us so we can review your answers.

Using CPU-z on Windows informs you about dual-channel or single-channel RAM usage. In the worst case, you can try various settings.

Factory arrived with a unit in a white slot nearest the CPU. I realized it was a different model and didn’t change it, as it had only one RAM. I moved the second one to the other far white slot, which supports dual channels, and everything seems fine.
