The cooler screen has switched from CPU temperature to GHz readings, and you're wondering if it can be restored. It seems the manufacturer didn't include the necessary drivers, which might affect the display functionality.

No one does that anymore. Have you checked the product name and visited the Gigabyte website before sharing it?

Sure, I understood. You confirmed your actions and clarified your question about the phrase "Nobody does that anymore."

They don't include drivers on CDs or similar formats; they just guide you to download them elsewhere, like this link: https://www.gigabyte.com/Consumer/Softwa...er/global/

I understand your concern about the media. It seems Windows 11 might have installed itself, but when trying to download a driver on the site, it keeps showing errors like "device not found" right after booting. I believe that website isn't reliable.

waterforce is typically an Aorus-branded Gigabyte item. Consider using an Aorus engine and... rgbfusion. I own two waterforce 2080ti models, and for a while rgbfusion didn't identify the second one. Their software tends to be quite poor as well.

I reinstalled the newest GCS and managed to reach the water cooler fans and RGB settings on the motherboard, but I lost my shortcut. After navigating to the folder, there’s nothing left to send to the desktop. The GCS displays only the motherboard and cooler, and you can’t even download anything from the app. Plus, there’s no exit button—just a frustrating mess. This software clearly doesn’t match the value of the hardware it supports. Do you have any idea how to restore that Fusion shortcut?

Restarting the older version... I've faced problems with Aorus software since purchasing my 2080Ti. Fusion is the worst... they eventually fixed it after four years... but that doesn't ensure it will work for everyone.

I located it in my Aorus app centre, which I only accessed through the hidden toolbar at the bottom right of my screen. I downloaded it from there and it provided the correct version that matched my previous setup with the shortcut. It seems like a mix of Windows 11 and Gigabyte, which isn’t ideal since I didn’t want to go through that process just to fix the problem.
