After completing the water pump repair in a closed-loop cooling system, I need to refill it with water. The main concerns are:
1. What type of water should I use? I suspect regular tap water isn't suitable, and I'm unsure where to purchase this specific "special" water.
2. How should I refill the system properly to avoid air bubbles? Should I just fill the pump to capacity and then secure the cold plate, or is there more to the process?

Boil water inside a chemical glass reaction tube; the steam will condense into purified water. One liter of distilled water can be purchased at an automotive shop for $3. This method requires a reservoir, hose clamp, and compatible fittings—specifically a 10mm inner diameter and 12mm outer diameter hose for an AIO system. You'll need to cut and chamfer the hose end, then plug it into the inlet and secure it with a plug cut from the hose to the reservoir or pump outlet. Before proceeding, ensure proper locking and secure the connection. After that, perform a leak test on your PC water cooling system—check for leaks, air bubbles, and proper priming. The procedure involves finding a free-form loop with no restrictions and bubbles; it can be challenging, so consider using an air cooler temporarily. Your current pump may fail again unless you address the issue (I fixed one with a CM Nepton unit).

After ensuring a tight seal, proceed with the leak test or air bleeding on your PC water cooler, and be aware of the loop needing a free-form path with no leaks or bubbles. It’s challenging, so consider using an air cooler temporarily. Your current pump has a history of failure—had issues with a CM Nepton unit, it was repaired, fixed, then failed again.

Water is boiled in a chemical glass reaction tube, causing condensation into distilled water. One liter of this water can be obtained from an automotive shop for $3. This method requires a reservoir, hose clamp, and matching fittings (the AIO hose typically has a 10mm inner diameter and 12mm outer diameter). You'll need to cut and chamfer the hose end, then use a plug cutter on the rad to res inlet and a plug cutter from the water block or pump to the res outlet. After securing the connection, perform a leak test by video, checking for free-form leaks and bubbles. The entire process is quite challenging; it's recommended to reuse an air cooler temporarily. Your current pump has a history of failure—had issues with a CM Nepton unit, it was fixed, then failed again.

Thanks for the update. I implemented your suggestion and purchased another water cooler.
