Is this cooler suitable for the Corsair 730T case?
Does it work well with an i7 4790k running at high overclock at 5.0Ghz?
Should I install the water pump on CPU-Opt or directly on the PSU?
Would it be better to use the pre-applied thermal paste or apply a different type such as ARCTIC MX-4?
Thank you.

OK, first question, you have room for 360mm rad on top location, so initially yes, the 730T can accommodate 360mm rads in the top location.
Second question, it works fine, you won't find anything larger available on the market anyway, so if you don't intend to spend 500-600$ on custom cooling, this would be the best option for your CPU.
Third question, it doesn't matter as long as you connect it to the motherboard and keep that header active all the time (just avoid touching the header where the pump is connected), remember the fans header should react to CPU temperature changes.
MX-4 is one of the top choices, so it's okay.

Aquielisunari provided details about compatibility, performance considerations, and thermal paste options for the Corsair 730T cooler. They also clarified the socket differences between the 4790k and the cooler, noting that while physically similar, the 4790 uses socket 1150 and the cooler is designed for 1151.

from the pump cpu manual it says the pump connects directly to the CPU fan header, so you plug the pump into the system fan. but if you have a CPU option, you'd want to connect the pump directly to it.

Dragos Manea:
First thing to note, you have room for 360mm rad on the top location, so the initial question is affirmative—the 730T can accommodate it.
Second point, yes it works; there’s nothing larger available on the market, so spending 500-600$ on custom cooling would be reasonable if you’re not planning to upgrade your CPU.
Third, it doesn’t matter as long as you connect the pump to the motherboard and keep that header active all the time (just avoid touching the pump connector).
MX-4 is a top choice, so everything seems fine.
Thank you!
Would you like any additional tips for a clearer response?
