Hi, I recently received a new LG monitor (27GP950-B) but had to return it because the left side displayed a white box. I sent it back and received a replacement, but now the screen has small spots where pixels flicker white intermittently. I’ve reinstalled the graphics drivers, adjusted settings, changed cables, and tried everything, yet the issue persists. The RTX2070 setup with DisplayPort works fine for me, though it’s still somewhat bothersome. Do you think there’s a solution or will this get worse?
Are you taking things at face value or referring to larger areas of pixels? If it's just individual dots and your old setup didn't show this, it might be a hardware issue—try using the new monitor on another device or Raspberry Pi. Also, verify if your monitor is being overclocked somewhere. Lastly, if it's a pattern of blocks, could the component be faulty and similar to what you saw on the previous screen?
I was referring to a static issue on individual pixels. The monitor I received would flash white boxes, but testing it on another computer confirmed the same behavior. It seems the problem isn't related to the GPU. Overclocking is disabled, and the static mainly appears on the left side of the screen, sometimes disappearing.
If this occurs on another device, it likely points to a monitor problem. Reset the monitor by removing all cables except power and video. If the issue continues, it may be a coincidence.
