Watch Dogs Legion
Watch Dogs Legion
Good evening everyone, I just wrapped up streaming Watch Dogs Legion. I was keeping an eye on the system with HWMonitor to track component usage and temperatures. I noticed my GPU would spike up to 100% but then drop back down to around 90s or high 80s. The temps stayed normal. On the CPU side, it was hitting 90-100% usage, yet the temperatures never exceeded 70°C. Everything was recorded while I was live on Twitch. Is my machine in good shape? Are there any adjustments I need to make? Also, is my GPU capable of handling the upcoming games like Valhalla, Cyberpunk, GodFall, and Cold War? Thanks for your help with this advanced advice.

When both the CPU and GPU operate at 90-100%, you're using a well-balanced setup for your tasks. In terms of heat, that's also acceptable. Your GPU should easily surpass the required temperatures for future games for a long period.
If both CPU and GPU are running 90-100%, you have a well balanced system for what you do.
In term of temperatures, those sound good too.
Your GPU will well exceed the minimums for upcoming titles.... for quite some time.
When you say exceed the requirements of the upcoming games for a while, do you mean my GPU can handle it well?
Hey everyone, just wanted to check in and see how it’s going.
1. With my RTX 2070 and Watch Dogs Legion, I notice it’s always running at full capacity and temperatures are in the mid-to-high 60s. That seems normal?
2. Should I keep the side panel open for better airflow? I’ve cleaned up dust a few times each week.
3. Also, with my RTX 2070 gaming on 8GB RAM, will it handle upcoming games and streaming smoothly? I’m a Twitch streamer, sorry for the long note.
Your temperatures are normal. Side panels serve a purpose. Unless your setup has significant dead zones and rat nests—like cables piling up or areas where air can't flow properly—the airflow would remain ideal. There'd be no need to open the side panel, which could increase dust intake and risk objects falling in.
And yes, your GPU should handle gaming and streaming well for the next few years. Models like the GTX 970/980Ti are still solid, even though they're older. Avoid getting swayed by marketing from Nvidia or AMD; most powerful cards will perform excellently in games for at least 4 to 5 years after release.
