I recently upgraded my PC and decided to begin streaming. I have roughly 70 downloads and 5-6 uploads. My settings are 3000 bitrate, 720p at 60fps—most games work well with a stable connection, minimal lag or stutter. However, in CSGO things change completely; it consistently shows 150+ ping and becomes almost unplayable. Anyone have any tips or reasons why this happens only with CSGO?

I remember uploading a video and playing csgo and the ping was horrible. I noticed all the players were foreigners and they were speaking another language. Somehow I got connected to foreign server. Same situation might have occurred with you too. Try to verify this is not the case. Also you could try lowering bitrate/refresh rate and see if that solves it although it might not be the case if your getting those higher speeds.

I'm in the EU, so everything runs on European servers. I'd reduce the bit rate, but eventually it becomes unwatchable.

I figured it out. My internet speed in CSGO was set to unrestricted, which means I’m using the full upload limit of 6.2mbps. That’s basically my maximum bandwidth, so when I stream, it gets all the data it needs—even if it doesn’t. Perfect for most situations unless you’re streaming and it gets really busy!
