Near 46 hours I enjoy it a lot. I purchased the Gold Edition for 75€, providing plenty of content for a long time.
Played for about 34 hours now and I really enjoy it. Hit 30 hours and I’m worried the Darkzone won’t keep me engaged that long or at least get me bored quickly. I prefer to tackle a bit more challenging content—kept doing missions that were two to three levels tougher than my current one. That was quite enjoyable. Still need to complete the harder missions. The game is fun and well-made, but I’m not sure about the long-term experience.
I received the game for free after purchasing my GTX 970. However, the overall experience feels similar to World of Warcraft, but with pistols and shotguns it becomes more enjoyable. Without teamwork, the world seems dull and uninteresting. There are many aspects that could be improved. For example, when I died in a cooperative mission, I would respawn next to the enemy, and I would die immediately after each respawn—this is quite frustrating. Still, the game is solid overall; it's up to you whether you like it or not. You can purchase this game cheaply from allkeyshop.
I believe it would be more enjoyable if someone joined you, as you're great at doing everything together—co-op always improves the experience. =p
If you enjoyed the gunplay in Mass Effect or the multiplayer mode in Mass Effect 3, then it’s definitely worth trying. We had a great time with friends, and even with top-tier gear, reaching Dark Zone level 50 or higher still offers many exciting activities.
I don’t purchase EA or Ubisoft titles. The group feels quite repetitive, mainly featuring humanoid characters.
I just completed a few missions on hard and hard is the usual at level 30. With a 68k DPS AUG, it’s pretty straightforward. Avoid challenging content; that’s the kind of intense play you enjoy. If they just recreate challenging with more purple enemies instead of all yellow ones, or remove a sniper here and there, you’ll get a solid hard game mode. It’s getting much easier, so hard doesn’t feel as tough anymore.
A lot of folks rely heavily on covers, but I usually skip that. The AI seems too clueless to handle it, lol.
