I tried the demo and it was really poor. I played for around ten hours just relaxing. It felt terrible. Ubisoft typically excels at open-world titles, but this didn’t capture the essence of a racing game like The Crew.

Get the demo and test it yourself. It's free with a vast selection, though there are only a few cars available. The Steam winter sale is around two months away if you're willing to wait for discounts. These options might not be the most favorable, but your money stretches further.

I don't believe this title is worth the price you're considering. It might only be worth around ten dollars if you're open to it. From a gameplay standpoint, they opted for a full arcade feel but still included solid simulator elements. You'll need to brake significantly before entering corners. However, the steering sensation feels off and makes this mechanic feel questionable. There are probably more enjoyable racing games out there. If you're into arcades, try Driver San Francisco. It doesn't look great, but it offers engaging mechanics and a good way to navigate traffic at high speeds. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it handled the story, though it wasn't particularly memorable. After finishing the narrative, I spent more time playing through the game.

I've just tried the free trial on my PC and I really liked it. I'm also hoping it will go on sale soon.

only if its cheap, and you have a friend that's willing to play with you. This game is in no way the "MMOCar PG" they call it, because you literally never bump into randoms, and when you do, they just drive past, and there is no interaction to be had. The trailer for the game, where crews are driving around all over the place, and there are rivalries between them, is not an accurate representation of the game at all. You just do races that are presented to you, and get enough money to make your car look nice... that's about it. the game gets boring after a while, and more so if you are playing by yourself.

Its a good game, i had fun with it for a month. Then i never touched it again Great concept from uplay (i could race ppl from canada with no lags. Im in UK). But once u finish career mode and pim ypur ride to max points there is not much to do. Stupid cheating little faggot kids ruined the competitive part of the game and its worldwide scoreboard (u can find unreal: "0.1sec times" or "999999999 points" almost everywhere.... The last time i played the game ot was february this year.

The economy is really bad, I wish I hadn't invested.

It hinges on your goals with The Crew. For a solid racing experience, there are many superior, more affordable options. If you're after the unique mix of racing and MMO elements that The Crew aims for, it stands out as the only one trying that approach. However, reviews generally agree it falls short. I believe purchasing it at full price is completely unreasonable—I personally don’t buy quality games at their cost.

I'm not sure about PC, but my brother got it on PS4. I tried it and it was fun to drive for a while, but after a while it becomes repetitive.
