The window you see after installation is a setup screen. The "Next" button should take you through the installation steps. You don’t need to format the drive unless the installer specifically asks for it. Just follow the prompts carefully and proceed as instructed.
You must select each partition or disk in that menu and choose delete, avoiding the format button. Restart back to the menu, then click each partition/disk using the delete option until none remain. This will display only the unallocated drives you have installed. Pick the desired drive for installation and click Next. Don’t rely on the format feature at any stage. After launching Windows again, it should show just one drive in File Explorer, labeled C:. You’ll need to initialize and format the remaining disks via Disk Management. Regarding internet access in Windows, it’s often missing because the system doesn’t include WiFi or Ethernet drivers by default. Obtain them from your motherboard manufacturer’s website on another computer, download the installer, and transfer it to your new machine using a USB drive. Then manually install the drivers.
Clicking 'delete' in that menu may remove all disks, leaving none available for selection. Formatting clears existing data, including files from previous installations like Windows 11. To start fresh without leftover files, you’ll need to create a new disk using the out-of-the-box setup option.
It's recommended to remove every partition until the disk has full unallocated space, then click the next button. During the Windows setup this will generate new partitions and format them automatically—a process known as a clean install. You have two separate drives (Drive 0 and Drive 1). Only the partitions on Drive 0 need to be deleted; Drive 1 is likely a storage drive. Once all partitions on Drive 0 are removed, press Next.
