Was es gehackt oder nicht?
I'm trying to rush this as much as I can because I'm really worried. A random person on Steam added me, thinking they were from a game I've played. Nothing seemed suspicious at first. He messaged me about an item he was interested in. Since I've been selling items online, I thought it might be mine. I clicked his link and immediately saw a download warning. I stopped it quickly, unplugged my cable, and ran a virus scan. Once back online, I changed my passwords. I'm checking my inventory constantly—nothing missing so far. If this was a scam, would I have noticed sooner? The scam looks similar to one in this thread: http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/fo...365334065/. Also, another person sent me "+1 thank you for buy" on my Steam page. I suspect they wanted to mark me as a target. I don't think I bought anything from them, and if I did, who would say "thank you" like that?
Update your Steam password again and perform additional virus scans. It seems you're likely safe.
As long as you altered it after the supposed infection, that’s sufficient for now. As I mentioned earlier, you should be okay. A little caution is normal.
