Was dein Laptop-Grafikkarte ausgefallen? (Es verschwand)
I was using a video tutorial on my laptop while experiencing a memory management crash. After rebooting, 3D programs were behaving badly, so I opened the Nvidia control panel but found nothing there. The Device Manager only listed the Intel graphics card. In the BIOS it showed just the video controller. Previously, the Quadro card worked properly and stayed cool. This suggests something went wrong with the card or its connection. Since it's an MXM slot, it might have slipped out. I can inspect it physically, but the problem seems subtle. Could the motherboard be affected? Edit: The Nvidia folder vanished from my C drive after this incident.
You've essentially addressed your own concern by suggesting a physical inspection and driver reinstallation. It seems the device may be beyond repair.
It's an MXM card, which means it can be swapped out. I attempted to install drivers from Dell and Nvidia, but neither reported any compatible graphics hardware.
Thanks to all the support, though I believe the problem is resolved. It came back in Windows and the BIOS after another crash. I don’t have any idea what caused it, but it could be a bad connection with the MXM slot. I’ll open it up to check and see if I can find the issue, and I’ll update the thread if needed.
