Warzone’s first-person shooter performance is struggling.
Hi everyone, I’m looking for a gaming expert's assistance with my Warzone FPS. Here’s my setup:
Intel Core i7 - 8700k
Prime Z370-A motherboard
DDR4 Gskill Trident Z 4000 MHz (16 x2 = 32GB)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
H100i v2 Watercooler
Thermaltake 850 W power supply
I’ve tried a lot of troubleshooting steps, including adjusting in-game settings, tweaking task manager priorities on the executable files, and modifying both NVIDIA and Windows Power Settings. I now realize that achieving consistently 85-95 FPS with this hardware is below its potential. I need genuine expert advice to resolve this issue. Previously, I had only 16GB of RAM at 2400 MHz, so I upgraded to the 32 GB at 4000 MHz hoping it would fix a memory bottleneck. I have a 144Hz monitor and want to get as close to that frame rate as possible; my system is capable of…
Honestly, I’m completely lost. My rig can consistently produce around 120-125 FPS in Warzone. I'm really stuck trying to figure out what's going on. Other games don’t present similar problems, but this one is baffling – I can’t identify the limiting factor. I’ve already enabled XMP profiling in the BIOS, updated my drivers, and checked all power-related settings. Any experienced gamers who could offer some guidance would be greatly appreciated. Most of my settings are set to low based on recommended configurations for maximizing FPS in Warzone.
Hi Jay,
It looks like there was a problem with the CPU – it seems to have lost connection with the MOB and isn’t boosting or executing properly. I tried everything I could think of.
I've got an ASUS Z390 Edge Gaming AC motherboard paired with an i7-9700K, running at 4000MHz RAM. All this was on stock settings – now I'm getting around 170 frames per second on low settings, mostly, and only a few in normal mode.
I suspect there’s a hardware fault; it has to be.
Take it down to a shop for them to disassemble, reassemble, and thoroughly check it out.
Best of luck!
As for the two-second delay I'm experiencing – it’s also happening with me, though less so in multiplayer. I believe it’s likely an issue with Activision servers; I’ve run basic ping tests from my router and haven’t found any problems on my end—it appears to be a server-side problem (the three yellow squares on the left).
I pushed my graphics card’s clock speed, and wondering if I should also overclock my CPU. I haven't noticed any significant CPU bottlenecks while gaming—it seems to be consistently around 60% utilization. If I decide to do it, what advice would you give me on how to go about overcloking software-wise? Just checked; it’s currently running at its base speed of 3.7 GHz, but in performance mode it's boosted up to 4.07 GHz.
Please run a UserBenchmark test and share the link to your score results.
To get the best performance from your memory, please make sure XMP or DOCP is enabled in your computer's BIOS – it appears your RAM is currently running at 2133MHz. Could you tell me what your CPU temperature gets when you’re playing games? Also, I noticed that your processor doesn’t seem to be boosting as high as expected; could you check on that for me?
