Warzone random FPS limiting
Warzone random FPS limiting
Hey, I've been dealing with the same problem for a while now. The game runs smoothly at first, but then midway through the next match I hit 100fps and suddenly experience this brief spike lasting a second, especially when ads are on. This has been a big reason why I haven't quit smoking.
I'm using a 1070, Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB DDR4 3200mhz RAM, installed on an HDD but running Windows via my SSD. The main solution I've tried online is editing a file—Go Into C:\Users\*Your Profile\Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players, then Adv_options. You'll see RendererWorkerCount=3 and change it to match your CPU's physical cores. Unfortunately, this didn't help for me, but it might work for others.
I'm going to try a few more fixes tonight and will update you if anything improves.
If you're curious, I moved my swapfile.sys from SSD to HDD a few months ago.
Next, I plan to force Warzone to run in DX11: Open Battle.net (Blizzard app), select Call of Duty: MW in the left panel, click OPTIONS, then GAME SETTINGS. Enable ADDITIONAL COMMAND LINE ARGUMENTS and enter -D3D11, then click Done.
Lastly, I'm about to try an ancient African tribal healing dance ritual—feeling confident it'll work. If all else fails, I'm installing something from Wagnardsoft (maybe not malware). I'll keep you updated.
