Good day Everyone,
my warzone game drops FPS in a random time. 5/10/15 fps with a slight ping spike, then the GPU temps go down, with a spike in CPU time.
not sure if its an internet issue... but my network seems ok when i do a speedtest. i already repaste my GPU but i havent tried replacing the VRM thermal pads yet.
please let me know if any in the community has experience this kind of symptoms... and how it was fixed?
thanks
My system Specs:
Ryzen 3600
Biostar B550MH 6.0 latest nios
Team Dark alpha 32 GB 3200MHZ
ZOTAC GTX 1060 mini 6gb
EVGA 500BV
Consider disconnecting from the internet.
Remove the GPU driver via ddu.
Uninstall all processors through Device Manager (ensure it shows 12).
Restart the PC to BIOS and re-flash the BIOS with the latest version, then return to BIOS to set default/optimized settings.
Launch Windows, install the newest AMD Chipset driver, reboot, and select the AMD Ryzen balanced power plan. Connect to the internet afterward.
Install the most recent NVIDIA driver.
Check for Windows updates (and optional ones) before proceeding.
Perform these actions offline until you install the AMD chipset driver; after completion, you may reboot to BIOS to enable XMP settings and fine-tune timing if desired. Ensure RAM is installed in slots 2 and 4. Save required files before starting, following the steps sequentially.
Thanks for the assistance. I haven’t noticed any crashes with FPS anymore. I also swapped out the VRM thermal pads—I believe that made a difference too.
I feel my GPU might be getting outdated, so an upgrade seems necessary due to these performance issues. Haha!
Sure, I've noted that. Have fun with your game, sir. Also remember to mention the driver when installing a new GPU, whether it's from the same manufacturer or not. 😊
