Hello everyone,
I recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 7 5800x to a Ryzen 9 5950x. At the same time, I increased my RAM from 3200MHz to 3600MHz. After launching Warzone, I played a few games smoothly without any problems. However, later in the evening I encountered a "Fatal error" repeatedly during about half or three-quarters of each match. I restarted the game multiple times.

I have tried numerous solutions posted online without success: Windows updates, scan and repair, clearing %temp%, deleting player files, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, running a Windows resource scan (which found corrupt files and repaired them), ensuring Nvidia drivers were up to date, adjusting virtual memory limits, using DirectX 11. I even ran the Windows memory stability test, suspecting the RAM issue, but no problems were detected. I’m unsure if this is related to the new hardware or the game/my system.

I’ll share my specifications below and would really appreciate any advice. Thank you.

You enhanced both the CPU and RAM. Did you reinitialize all BIOS configurations and verify the RAM operates at the appropriate speed and timing? Additionally, confirm that both components are compatible with your current BIOS version. Upgrading the CPU might necessitate a full Windows reinstallation.

Thank you for your response. I entered BIOS immediately after the upgrade and found my settings were set to defaults. The display confirms the RAM operates at the appropriate speed and timings. Based on my motherboard manufacturer's specifications, my CPU is compatible with any BIOS version from 2606 onwards, and I am currently using 4204. My motherboard also supports RAM up to 5200MHz. Regarding the Windows reformat, when I booted up and opened Task Manager with CPU=Z, both my old information (8 cores) and the correct title "Ryzen 9 5950x" appeared. I might need to reinstall or reformat if necessary. Additionally, I receive a notification each time I start up saying my computer seems to have changed since the last time I played Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Would you like the game to adjust itself for my new hardware? This is generally recommended for most users—it updates system settings without altering controls.

I'm not sure if this message holds any importance.

After making my original post, I also ran DDU to uninstall and performed a clean install of my graphics drivers.
