Hello. I plan to purchase a Ryzen 7 3700X from someone offering a slightly lower price. In my country, buying from a store costs about 325 euros, while from this seller it would be roughly 75 euros less. There are two choices from him: one without any store warranty (meaning you’d need to return it to AMD directly if it fails) or one with a store warranty in Romania. I’m curious whether paying an additional 20 euros for the store warranty is worthwhile. Even then, the price difference would still be over 50 euros, which seems quite good. Both units are sealed, new, and I can inspect them upon delivery.

This 20€ warranty fee comes from the seller. In the EU, you’re entitled to a limited warranty period, which suggests they may be trying to offset that requirement. It could indicate either a legitimate business or a private individual—check their credentials for clarity.

He can offer it at 75 Euros below the regular price by emphasizing value or discounts. To verify if the seller is legitimate, check reviews and ensure they have a clear history.

He seems legit. He's been on the site since 2011 ( a site used for selling used stuff, something like ebay but in my country). And it's PIB, so it has amd warranty and i can check the package when it arrives. It's just that it doesn't have a store warranty but there's another guy who sells the same but 20 euros more and you get store warranty as well, from a store called NOD. And i dont know if its worth it, if I have warranty at AMD anyway.

If he has a solid reputation, I’d consider the 20$ warranty. For a 300$ part, that’s a smart choice since most places charge around 50$ for something pricier with a two-year warranty. Particularly at a walk-in shop, it could save you time if you run into issues. Probably not for everyone, but if a mobile model has faulty BIOS settings you’re unaware of—though rare nowadays—and the chip fails completely, it would give you peace of mind. Also keep in mind, "never overclock," whether you do or don’t.

I purchased the unit covered just by the AMD PIB warranty. The representative appeared genuine during the call; they've been active on the platform since 2011, so I'm confident the outcome will be fine. He processed the order quickly and is already preparing to ship it, though he mentioned current delivery delays due to high volume. When you receive the package, please inspect for any signs of damage or issues.

I’d avoid any guarantees from randos online. AMD provides its own coverage and will still exist soon. Randos probably won’t last long, making such promises seem like a trick.

I’ll get the 3-year AMD warranty, which makes sense since I didn’t need to buy it through the store warranty. The person said they can assist with sending it to AMD if there’s an issue. Their account, which I purchased from in 2011, sells other components like mobos and RAM, so they seem trustworthy.
